What do you think of it?
I have been enjoying them. I am not sure how I am going to like it when I start having to pay for them. It is all going to come down to the price point.
I have been reading them on my lunch break. They give some interesting background on Declan’s early years and flesh out his relationship with Levi. As far as the price for the tokens, you get your first 200 free. And here is a chart I found for the pricing:

I’m brand new to Demon Accords having discovered it I guess through kindle Vella. Engrossed so far! I’m on episode 7 and it has me a little confused. What’s this about a tree? Did I miss something haha. Is it a detail from the novels?
Declan is talking about the Rowan tree which is known for its protective qualities and is also known as the Mountain Ash. You can find it described as such in Greek mythology and elsewhere. I believe Harry Potter’s wand is Rowan wood but it’s been a long time since I’ve read those books.
Just in case you don’t know, The Demon Accords on Vella are background books to John’s Demon Accords series, which is phenominal and starts with “God Touched”
Personally, the only thing I can tell you about Rowan wood is, if it’s the same Moutain Ash that grew in my yard when I was a kid, the red berries would make birds drunk in the fall when they ate them and they flocked to the tree. We’d have them fly into windows and find them unable to get off the ground without having hit anything.
Crud, forgot to mention, the tree Declan talks about is grows outside the restaurant his aunt owns and where they live.
