ParticipantHey everyone, I really want to start Darkkin Queen, but I haven’t read C.A.E.C.O yet. So, do I need to finish C.A.E.C.O before reading Darkkin Queen? I know sometimes when the MC changes for a book it doesn’t always affect the main story arch. Thanks in advance!

ParticipantI’d say it’s not required – there will be a couple of references to events from C.A.E.C.O. but nothing that really impacts the story for Darkkin Queen, at least as far as I remember.
Having said that, I would still suggest reading them in order – I found I enjoyed C.A.E.C.O. a bit better than Darkkin Queen, maybe because I still find Caeco a more sympathetic character than Tanya.
You’ll definitely want to read it before the new Compendium comes out. I have a hunch that some of the characters introduced in C.A.E.C.O. will be making an appearance in the Compendium tales…August 6, 2020 at 1:18 pm #29465biggin747
ParticipantThanks, I hunkered down and finished it. Good book. I had always hated how he turned CAECO in to such a bitter B!t$#. In the same vein I hate how he keeps letting life beat the hell out of Declan. Over and over he keeps getting kicked in the Nardi! ? anyway enjoying Darkkin Queen so far!
