Don’t know if I’ve missed it somehow, but did Omega ever do a sky/star map over Faery like he did of the planet the Vorsook attacked from? I wonder how close it is to us?
With all the magic Declan has learned from Sorrow, I’m kind of surprised he still has to rely on Omega for language translations. You’d think the book might be able to give him at least some pointers towards developing a Pentecost spell even if it didn’t have one itself.
Sorrow was absorbed by Omega during his fight for survival when he was born so, it seems to me, that anything Declan didn’t already know was also absorbed by Omega, not Declan.
It maybe due to the fact that Fairie was ‘known’, due to its place in lore while Vorsook was an entirely new entity/aggressor.
Cinjinn, while Sorrow (the entity) was incorporated into the AI to make Omega & does have the books info in him, I think all of Sorrow’s knowledge is also in Declan. He can’t access it as easily as a computer can & doesn’t “know” the info/spells until he’s prompted to think or try to remember them. There’s probably a language spell in there somewhere.
Rynedee, you maybe right, although, if I were Omega, I’d still want to know. Monkey curiosity, if nothing else.
We know that witches & weres can breed & have offspring with both capabilities. Can a vampire turn a witch? Would the resulting vampire have witch powers also? Would those powers grow in strength like the vampire powers do with age? Things that make you go hmmm.
Another question to consider. Do the fey have souls? Being one of the creators families, one would assume so, but they don’t act like they do. They consort with demons, kill & kidnap wantonly, use death magic etc. This would put them on the condemned track. Where is their assigned angel? Taking an extended coffee break? They don’t seem to have anything like a religion, faith or holy/consecrated ground, maybe because they live too long? Will Chris take a look at them to see if they have souls? Ask Barbiel who their angel is & what’s he doing? Maybe Chris or Declan can bring a priest or holy man with great faith there & at least consecrate a space for the poor angel to manifest & maybe show the fey what’s at stake. They can be killed, after all, & presumably it’s off to a hot spot for most. OK, that was more than one question, sorry.
Yet another question. If Senka is the Elder for the American continents, why does she live in Italy? It would have been difficult to rule the Americas from there until very recently. In the 18th & 19th centuries, messages would have taken months going in each direction. Even in the 20th century communications were iffy until after WW2.
I had an observation, thought or idea. In Book 1, the Bear basically smashes the vampire elder in between his paws. Couldn’t Chris Gordon do something similar with his aura? He extends his aura beyond his hand or on top of his two palms into the same size of the bear’s paws but square shaped and slams his hands similar to a Hulk hand clap/thunderclap.
I don’t know how far into the series you are yet & don’t want to spoil any thing, but… keep reading. 🙂
He starts doing something similar in book 3 or 4 I think. Something his gramps & Lenny come up with. He goes with your idea a book or two after that.
I think it was Duel Nature after they got his Gramps out of the hospital & perked up w/Tanya’s blood. While they were at the farm Gramps & Lenny thought he could do EFPs with his aura by clapping his hands together. He’s used the EFPs to great effect in several books after that. Now that I think about it, didn’t he clap his hands on one of the demon witches devil dogs when they attacked Owasos? I think he’s done it once or twice since then. The last one I can remember with just his hands was in Winter Fall fighting in China. It’s not a full body crush like Okwali did though.
I know it might be a bit late to answer the starmap question, but why does faery have to be in our universe. It could be that it is another universe whose mbrane touches ours. I mean since the particles return to their origin at death
