Just finished A Murder of Shadows. Really enjoyed it, once again Mr. Conroe has built an interesting world and populated it with intriguing characters. He has a knack for making even the side characters fully fleshed out individuals. One thing that felt a little off was the dialogue – sometimes formal, sometimes casual, but every now and then they’d use a bit of current-day slang that just didn’t seem to fit. Or maybe that’s just me.
Definitely want to see what happens next, and yes I was able to figure out what was in the king’s hidden vault. Montshire indeed.
