Two ideas for magic

One: Talismans or paper tags that basically allows anyone to use magic such as humans, vampires, werewolves, etc. They are one-use only and imbued with magic similar to those batteries.

Two: A precursor to the Book of Darkest Sorrows or should I say prototype is that instead of the first AI in the book, the book was written in English but modified so it was unintelligible and unreadable to anyone but the users.

As a side note, humans can’t use magic but that doesn’t prevent them from possibly coming up with ideas for spells and then have a witch or warlock create them.
