My defintion of Media is any form of communciation for a mass audience.
I didn’t see the connection and I don’t think there is one. I did note that micro drone appeared after visit by Chester Flottercot and that the drone debris disappeared (nano tech treatment or nano drones?). I also got the impression that Chester didn’t like smart technology with the reference to the antique pocket watch he carries. So was it following Chester? I can see a lot of symbolism there. We also know the aparment has 4 active bugs (those transmitting) that Ricky was overriding. Note that bugs could be smart devices that have been hacked. My personal speculation was Trinity was a possible source. Her gathering information to advance the production of her show. She had access to the appartment more so than Agents Black and White.
That causes me chuckle, Agents Black and White.
Media seems to have a bigger roll than the government. Why is Chester Flottercot in a military crisis briefing? The media must be melting down after the AJ’s last sojourn to Manhatten.
The approch of the two kids is a way to show that stuff is going on with media without having to have AJ watch TV. His reaction to the kids becomes more media fodder.
Most of the staging and setup appears to me to be Media vs Reality. The reason that it isn’t the center of attention and more the pervasive background is as AJ puts it, “I’ve been busy.”
I don’t know of anything that is extremely simular to Demon Accords… Other series has some elements. A vampire run night club, strip joint or bar is a very common one.
For me it isn’t the supernatual elements or that there is an extra ordinary secret world or that there overpowered defenders of the world but how author eases you into the world and where the story will go is very hard to predict yet fits logically in universe that has been built. Every book for the most part has been a surprise and a delight and has the world expands to a cast of thousands how characters show up from books past. Demon Accords and Zone War are my current favorate reads.
One series that does share a underground world that is being forced to the light of day. Is Patrica Briggs, Mercy Thompson series. up to 14 books this comming may 7.

Sorry Balor I misread your question I was thinking of the ebook not the audiobook. It was answered by Mr Conroe’s blog of this date (2019 Apr 08 – Waiting). I’m thankfull I don’t have to wait an additional 3 months for the ebook.
By my lay calculations it should be out in between now and April 19, 2019. My thoughts have changed from mid March when I had ballparked that the book would be released sometime this week but I suspect it will be up for preorder sometime this week instead. My WAG (Wild Ass Guesses) are based on Mr Conroe’s extraordinary WCW (Word Count Wednesday) posts. For example: Demon Divine was released 14 days after the note the manuscript was in the editors hands post. Though as any finance guy will tell you, “Past performance is no guarantee of future results.” So my desire is for smooth sailing and good health for all concerned.
