Still Alive After All These Months!

Wow.  Long time no post John, what’s up with that?

I’ll tell you… ending a series that runs through twenty-seven books seems to take a hot second!

My writing style is by the seat of my pants — like a paleontologist uncovering a dinosaur without knowing if it’s a Hadrosaur or a TRex.  Ending Demon Accords hasn’t been easy and for the longest time I struggled with a direction.  Lots of ends to wrap up, lots of new ends to create.  If anything, over the seventeen years I’ve been writing I’ve learned to trust my imagination to produce the story and this time was no different.  Blood Lines, which will technically end Demon Accords, is currently at 52,000 words and climbing fast.  Note the use of the word technically.  That’s because the story that ends Demon Accords also sets up the next series, Expansion.  The first book in Expansion is… Expansion.  It’s at 18,000 words and following fast behind Blood Lines.  I can’t tell you a great deal about either except for these little tidbits:  Expansion is next generation.  Blood Lines is told by Chris and Declan, alternating.  We’ll see lots of old favorite characters in Expansion but we’ll be following a whole new gang.  I guess that’s it for now, except I expect to keep a better posting schedule.
